The European project SIMWOOD – Sustainable Innovative Mobilisation of Wood has officially launched its website. Visitors to www.simwood-project.eu will be able to read the latest information about the project’s activities, and its work to mobilise untapped reserves of timber in Europe. The project has also launched its social media presence on Twitter and LinkedIn.
SIMWOOD is a four-year EU Seventh Framework Programme project, which aims to increase the mobilisation of wood from forests and woodlands in Europe. The project reaches out to stakeholders and regional initiatives with the aim of ‘waking up’ and mobilising forest owners, promoting collaborative forest managementand ensuring sustainable forest functions. The project consortium includes 28 partners from 11 European countries.
